Gifts for the grieving

Hello beautiful ones~

Today I am reminded of my sister, as it would have been her 45th birthday today.  She died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2009.  My grieving process was intense, as most everyone who has lost a family member understands.

Often, we have customers who come in to Milk & Honey wanting to console and comfort a friend who has lost a family member.  We have often recommended our most popular Kuan Yin candle, as Kuan Yin embodies the universal energy of mother and unconditional love.  Burning candles is a tradition for many when a loved one passes on, as the flame represents the eternal flame of their soul.

Recently, I was very happy to find these Tear Drop sterling silver earrings that feel so appropriate to use as a gift for mom, gift for sister, or a gift for friend who is grieving.  The symbolism of the spiral is potent:  that we all return back to our center, while the shape of the tear drop honors the flow of emotions that are sure to come when a woman is letting someone go.  These earrings were designed and made in the USA by a female, independent artist and silversmith.

Another potent symbol that represents the powerful transformation of death and rebirth is seen here, as kundalini rising, in these sterling silver and bronze earrings, and the matching sterling silver and bronze pendant.  Both are designed and made in the USA by another female, independent artist and jewelry maker.

So whether it be a love note, a phone call, a candle, or beautiful jewelry, we definitely encourage you to reach out to those that you know are hurting and show them your love.  Thoughtful gifts resonate deeply during times of transition.

Be well beauties.  Take care of yourselves and one another~
